Ply Yard is maintained by an independent development team. We read and respond directly to player feedback, bug reports, engine analysis questions, and privacy inquiries.

1. What to Contact Us About

Feel free to reach out to us regarding any of the following topics:

• Game Engine & Rule Accuracy: If you encounter a situation where a legal move was disallowed, an illegal move was permitted, perpetual check adjudication misbehaved, or an endgame position was incorrectly assessed, please let us know.
• Browser Compatibility & Touch Controls: If a board does not scale cleanly on your specific phone, tablet, or desktop screen, or if touch gestures interfere with scrolling, we want to fix it.
• Accessibility Feedback: We strive to maintain clean landmarks, high contrast ratios, and keyboard accessibility. Please reach out if you encounter navigation barriers.
• Open Source & Licensing: Questions regarding our open-source artwork attributions (AGPL-3.0), chess engine integration (GPL-2.0), or technical architecture.
• Feature & New Game Requests: Ideas for new board game additions (e.g. Shogi, Reversi, Go/Weiqi), alternative piece styles, or timer controls.

2. How to Submit an Actionable Bug Report

To help us reproduce and resolve technical issues quickly, please include as much of the following information as possible in your email:

1. The Exact URL: Which host were you on? (For example: https://xiangqi.plyyard.com/, https://xiangqi.plyyard.com/board, or https://plyyard.com/).
2. Device & Browser: Your device model, operating system, and browser version (e.g., iPhone 15 running Safari iOS 18, Chrome 128 on macOS Sequoia, Firefox on Linux).
3. Game Mode: Were you playing vs Computer (and at what difficulty level), Local 2 Player, or an Online Room?
4. Board Position / FEN: If possible, copy the FEN notation string from the board toolbar or list the sequence of moves that led to the issue.
5. Screenshots or Console Logs: A screenshot of the board state or any error message shown in your browser.

3. What We Do Not Handle

To manage expectations, please note that our small engineering team does not provide:

• Personal Chess Coaching: We cannot analyze your games or provide personal strategic advice.
• Account Recovery: Ply Yard does not utilize accounts, logins, or password databases, so there are no player accounts or lost passwords to reset.
• Commercial Gambling: We do not accept sponsorship offers from real-money gambling, casino, or wagering operations.
